Hoogs Customs Journey
I began my journey as an entrepreneur from pure passion when I started buying and selling trucks with the end goal of being able to save up enough money to purchase and build my dream truck. Throughout the process of buying and selling trucks a spark of passion was ignited when modifying and detailing the trucks to make them more appealing to the potential buyers. After 6 trucks I realized that this passion could be turned into a small business. After graduating from Davenport University with my BS in Business Management with an Emphasis in Marketing I went on to work in a corporate setting as a Business Analyst at Meijer Headquarters in Walker, MI and making Hoogs Customs a side business for myself. Hoogs Customs took off faster than I could have ever dreamt of and I was faced with the difficult decision to focus on my business full time or continue doing it part-time with a full-time job. I ended up taking the leap of faith and pursuing Hoogs Customs full time, and never looked back. Now Hoogs Customs is a team of employees and is going on 6 years of being in business! We would love nothing more than to showcase our passion to you through the work the Hoogs Customs Team can provide for you and your vehicle.
Personal Life
About me personally, I am married to an amazing woman who I met in 6th grade and who has supported me throughout this entire process (Shelby Hoogerhyde). We have two beautiful daughters named Harlee and Haven! I grew up in the Caledonia area where I lived with my parents (Don & Laurie). In High School, I was passionate about playing football, basketball, baseball, and enjoying the outdoors by hunting and fishing. During my senior year of high school, I was offered by Grand Valley State University to play football and baseball for them at the next level. While at Grand Valley I was re-acquainted with my now wife Shelby and we were married in June of 2018. Nowadays I spend as much time with family as possible and my hobbies include hunting, fitness, sports cars, and spending time with family!
